Over one hundred years of youth after the conclusion, the members of the New Order find themselves living in Washington D.C. They live in a lovely house with lovely neighbors, including a man named Sergeant Nollen. Quite abandoned.

When Gemma and Kartik are transported suddenly fron the realms to the future, they must find a way to cope with life in a strange new place. Meanwhile, Max and the flock meet two strangers who aren't even from their time, and become entangled emotionally.
