Kyon along with the other members of the SOS Brigade are drafted into a gaming convention by Koizumi. Surprisingly, Hisao, Kenji, and Hanako drafted by Shizune and Misha as well. The two groups head to Yagami, anxiously awaiting the competition to begin.
