Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am a grammar freak, though for some reason it does not seem that way in my fics. That's probably because I don't use a beta. I'm a future English/creative writing major, and can demonstrate basic and some advanced grammar and writing skills. I am well versed in WWE, WCW, TNA, and ECW history, the past and current rosters, wrestling moves, and backstage set up and procedure. I know my way around slash fic and darker themes. Fics featuring Shawn Michaels are my specialty. I am a great lover of literature, particularly classics, Potter, and Tolkien. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Slash. I am really good with slash. I know my way around darker themes pretty well like rape and abuse. I am competent at lemons, spelling and grammar, and romantic fluff. I'm great with HBK pairings. I am knowledgeable in "alternative subculture" (ie BDSM, D/s, power exchange, roleplay, etc..). |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I find het harder to write than slash other than a few pairings like ShawnBecca, or really any Shawn pairing. Parody is a struggle as well but I can try. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Slash, but it doesn't have to be. I love Shawnfic so that's always good. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I will not beta Cena/OC or really any Cena pairings period. I'm not going to promote further spread of that. Cena fics are over abundant. |
