Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I, Lady Cordelia, am a beta reader with a particular bend toward Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. I've gotten all the way through my game, so fear not to send me stories involving the ongoing battle between Mio, the good Queen of Memories, and Raem, the evil memory-eating demon, for I have no fear of spoilers.
One catch: Please pay attention to "what's in a name" for characters of the four different races when you create the OCs that I must follow through the story, so that I can tell the character's race by his/her name. For some reason, improperly named characters bother me. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
--Will beta for pretty much every genre EXCEPT humor
--Good at spotting spelling and grammar mistakes
--I know my way around practically every dungeon and town in Crystal Chronicles and am fully aware of things that would be different if the realm was real, as opposed to in the game (travel time, mail moogles appearing at random, etc.), so I can correct things that would not be likely in accordance with canon. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
--Not good as a humor or a drama writer, so I may be less helpful to writers of those genres |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I like to beta romance (will only do het pairings), action/adventure (love a fight scene!), tragedy, and poetry. Though I probably won't ask writers who seek my services to revise poetry. |

--Will NOT read slash/femmeslash, PWPs, etc (and if you must write a scene that falls under the heading of "rated M for Mount Kilanda," please confine the featured characters to being Clavats and/or Selkies).
