Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I might beta your story if you ask real nice. And give me a shoggoth as a pet/guard-dog. ;)
I am quite proficient in the English language, so you'll have to be willing to let me tear into your grammar and spelling. A good grasp of the language is a must, especially if it is your second (or third, or fourth, or nth) language.
Also, I am pretty much making this beta account simply so that I can have beta-readers for my stories. |

I excel at humor. But a great deal of the things I find funny other people might not.
I know quite a bit about the Japanese language and culture. See weaknesses for what I can't do pertaining to the language, though I have resources (such as the internet) to fix that. |

I'm not too good at writing dark just yet, and I practically fail at romance.
I fail at kanji. Pronunciation is perfect, but I couldn't speak the language to save my life. There are also a great deal of words that I simply don't know. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I like humorous stories, but I also like stories where things don't go according to plan for the manipulative characters. I also like ones where the main character, such as Naruto or Harry, is manipulative. I also love crossovers, but put too many in and it becomes tiring to read. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
No yaoi, yuri, slash, mpreg, or other such allowed except for the following scenario: if there is gender-bending, such as in Ranma, then the pairing had better be based on each person's original gender. Pairings such as Ryouga/Ranma are a no-go unless Ranma was split from his female half and we end up with a Ryouga/Ranko. |
