I have been beta reading for little over a year now. I started beta reading due to a mix of personal requests, a curiosity at trying it out, and a better insight as a writer. I now currently actively beta read stories by two authors (Oilwar and Erik Howlett) and they have shown drastic amounts of improvement since they began to have me help with them. They both claim my insight is very strong and has helped them greatly in making better stories.


When I beta read your story, you can expect me not to do the work for you. I may tell you what I think is wrong, and how to fix it, but I am not going to fix it for you. That's up for you to do. So do not expect me to basically write a story for you when you want me to beta read it. I will however show you comprehensively how to fix problems and will explain things in an easy manner provided with examples on how you can fix what needs to be fixed.

I excel in plot issues, primarily pacing and grammar aspects. I also excel greatly in characterization and character design.

Various extremely technical aspects I may not understand.

I will read any story that is thrown at me. It does not mean I will always enjoy it but I will read it anyway.

If you want me to judge your lemons or erotic parts, have someone else do it. It's not that I don't like that stuff, but I'm just not a good person to judge of your graphic depictions of sexual intercourse and how well they arouse people.
