Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm just a guy who likes to read. I read anything that seems interesting, particularly NaruHina fanfiction. Fanfictions I read usually involve Sonic, Zelda, Naruto, DBZ (maybe), but am willing to read others, especially if your summary is interesting enough. If you ask me to beta, have some idea of grammar and spelling. An error every now and then is alright, and shows that you're trying. But I've seen too many stories where such things were thrown out the window. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I excel with shorter plots, and anything with a fight scene. I have written acceptable (I won't say great) fight scenes myself. I have a very good eye for grammar mistakes, and can actually enjoy a story (meaning that I probably won't say you suck. If you can meet my grammar expectations, you probably don't). |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I get distracted easily and lose place on a computer screen, so I sometimes may lose track of a plot in the middle of a chapter. However, that's what rereading is for. This is also due to slight short-term memory problems that stem from my ADD. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer action/adventure. Angst is sometimes acceptable, and is often interesting, but sometimes I'm not in the mood for depressing things. Romance and lemons are acceptable as well, but I would like it if you tried to avoid it. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Anything where I can find 10 grammar errors per paragraph, anything that's just a block of text with no paragraphs or spaces between events, and ones that pretty much only add minor changes to the real plot of the anime/book/game. |
