Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
So, you need a beta? Then I suppose I might be that person! While I don't write as much as I'd like, writing is my favorite hobby. I've been a grammar freak since the seventh grade, so for a while now I've been on a quest to better others in their writing skills as well as my own. Often when I read the works of others, I peruse over it for grammar and spelling mistakes, then I move on to factual or continuation mistakes. I mean, who wants to read a story that doesn't have good flow? Essentially, I cover what I'm asked to cover, with a little extra. I am a little bit of a procrastinator, so if you choose me to beta you, there might be once or twice when I rush to get it done, but most of the time I will be punctual. =)
If you also need help with story ideas, or need inspiration, I'm here to help! I've been told I'm rather good at spewing out ideas and giving songs or videos for inspiration if you're stuck with something.
I'm a fun person to be around, and I get along with nearly everybody. I'm available to chat with on AIM, MSN, Skype, Facebook... whatever trips your trigger. Talking on a messenger will immensely help me beta for you better considering you can give me more detail straight from the source about your story. I want to help in whatever way I can!

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm really good at spelling and spotting dead words. Often, I'll give you an alternative for a normally overused word. As stated in the bio, I'm quite a grammar freak, so you can probably imagine that I'll be extremely thorough with your grammar usage. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Procrastination. =P Sometimes, I'll mistakingly mess up the grammar, like using a semi-colon when it's supposed to be a dash. Also, sometimes I find myself shifting out of tense, so if I don't catch tense changes, please don't send me to the grave! |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'd prefer to beta a story of a fandom that I am familiar with. I will take requests from those fandoms which I don't know, but I am of most help when I'm reading something that I'm familar with. =) I also really like angst and sci-fi stories. |

I'm not really into gushy romance. Otherwise, I'm open to anything. =)(I'm serious - anything). |
