Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am fairly new to beta-reading, and I haven't really beta-read any stories as of yet. However, when I see misspellings or grammatical errors, it tends to take away from the experience for me. I offer my services as a beta-reader to help other writers not make these mistakes. I'm not as lazy as I am reading than I am writing, so you can expect a fairly quick response to a pre-read. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am able to recognize a word as misspelled by sight fairly well. I'm also fairly good at finding a better word to use in the situation if needed. Spelling and grammar are my main strengths. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My writing tends to be cumbersome, and when I have read some of my friends stories, I have tended to recommend changes that make their style of writing more like mine. In other words, it is difficult for me to write in styles other than my own. I'll try my best to keep this to a minimum while reading. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I would prefer to read stories/chapters that are a bit on the long side. One shots or chapters are fine, but I would like them to be at least 1500 words. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I am really not a fan of AU or WAFF, but there are exceptions to this. |
