Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I seek to make the best of a fanfiction writer's abilities and produce work that they are more than proud to share with others on the site. My ultimate goal is to guide a writer whether they are veterans or amateurs and help improve with every succeeding project they have. I try to be straightforward with reviews that I've posted on the site, and hope that writers don't take my suggestions/complaints badly to heart. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Creative Writing experience, a deep understanding of a character depending on the series as well as an open attitude that looks for different ways to approach a story to keep from getting stagnant. I work well with many different people and am reliable when it comes to submission deadlines for beta'd work back to a writer |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Grammar and format can escape me as well at times, leaving me to constantly reread and edit my own works even after proofreading and submission to the site. In spite of my broad general knowledge of many series, I often have a weaker understanding of the tone/overall plot attitude depending on the series. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Mainly anime/manga series are preferable when it comes to formatting or actual story editing, but when it comes to grammar and spelling checks, I am accepting of any topic/genre. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Generally stories/comics/movies/shows that I am not familiar with will bring some difficulty when it comes to actual story issues. But that doesn't hinder me from helping with grammar/spelling |
