As a beta, I look for coherently expressed, complete ideas in the stories I read. Those are the ones worth fixing anyway, and I'd like to be intrigued by the thing I'm having to read. I won't really kick you in the ass over your writing style, but if something doesn't flow smoothly I'll probably fix it. Flow, grammar, and coherency are the things that I think are important.

If you'd like me to beta your story, please have a specific list of things you'd like me to focus on so that I can apply my strengths to your piece and leave no breathing room for my weaknesses. ;) Having clear details helps keep things on track.

Grammar is my strong point. I'm also likely to pick out story design flaws, too, if the need requires it.

It's been said that I occasionally unconsciously put my own personal tastes onto a critique. Although I'm now careful to not fall into that sort of trap, since it IS mostly unconscious, it's still possible, if even on accident. Even so, it's not really that bad, is it?

I do decently well with drama, action/adventure, as well as psychological pieces- something with a good, solid plot either way. I suppose I could do any genre, however.

I really don't do slash fiction, so please don't give it to me. Keep Kami/Gackt/Mana lovefests to yourself. Kami's passed away for over ten years now, so leave the poor man in peace...
