Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am actually quite new to this whole beta thing. However, I will do my utmost to make sure any requests I recieved are acknowledged quickly and done to the satisfaction of the requester. I want to beta because although I may not have the patience to write my own fics, I would be more than happy to help others improve theirs. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strengths are in the fields of grammar and spelling. This is the type of beta-reading I prefer. I'm fairly good with catching the flow of a piece, and can help if it is lacking. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My primary weakness would probably be sticking to deadlines. I'm in school, so the schedule can be a bit unpredictable at times. Also, I tend to skim over fight scenes; I don't quite have the patience to read them through diligently. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer romance, be it humorous, dramatic, or fluffy. I have no aversion to other genres; I just so happen to like it above others. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I do take offence when confronted with foul language and/or risqué material. I will not beta-read anything containing these. I would also rather not have to edit any slash fics. |
