Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
What I most work on is grammar and spelling. If something doesn't make sense in characterization or the storyline, however, I shall point that out too. Don't get mad at me or anything; I'm actually not one to get too naggy about a certain thing, and I don't like being too hard about anything either. I'd love to help, really. I'll even read stories about characters whom no one likes, since actually it's great to see an unloved character get some attention every once in a while. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Grammar and spelling. I'll look really hard and point out whatever catches my eye. Also, characterization. If someone is acting too out of character, I'll let you know. Sometimes, however in extreme situations, some certain characters might resort to things that they probably wouldn't normally come to, so I understand that. Last but not least, storylines. Like, if something is confusing. |

Who knows; my mind is weird and can miss things entirely, or I could simply read it over again and understand perfectly. Also, I'm a rather slow reader I believe, so if you submit something rather long to me then don't complain or anything if I take a long-ass time to finish reading it. Actually, do that if you want. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'll mostly read about anything you throw at me, I really don't care. But if you want to know what I like the most, then probably epic battle scenes. I love me some of those. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Like I said earlier, I'll read about mianly anything; porn, yaoi/yuri, incest, violence, whatever, I think the only thing that might bug me is something insanely long, since I'm kind of picky with that. But don't get me wrong; if it's good, I'll read it. Really cliche stuff tends to bug me, though. Oh yeah, and I'm not too fond of Ike/Soren or Heath/Legault fluff, but then again, who knows until I actually read it I guess.
Just, if you send something in to me that's horribly incomprehensible (chatspeak or whatever) that's going to end up lowering my IQ by ten points, then please, don't bother.
