Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Yosh, the Sharkman has come to the field and is ready to beta! I like reading longer stories, but I'm willing to work on just about any type of story except yoai. My style is the art of fighting without fighting, not! Basically, I'll read you work and just adjust punctuation or grammar is something seems kind of difficult to understand or awkward, while leaving things as intact as I can. It's your art, and you are the one who finally decides what goes up here, but I'll do my best to make it shine! Just know that it might take me a bit to get to you, but as soon as I do, I'll finish the work quickly and to the best of my ability. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
-- I'm a very fast reader, which means I can get through stories quickly and delay you as little as possible. My actual clocked time is a 400 page book in 3 hrs, but I think I've gotten faster than that, as I've read 500+ page fanfictions within a week while going to school and work.
-- I'm really good with sentience structure and my vocabulary is fairly large, (feel free to view my work and get a feel of my style)and I promise it will be at your full disposal.
-- I won't let my personal feelings get in the way of your story. No matter what happens, I won't force my changes on you. I SWEAR! I personally know that nothing is worse than to have people insist their way is better than yours. It is your story, you are the writer, I'm merely and editor without the power to keep you from getting printed, (that's the job of the government). If i suggest that something happens at one point, I leave it up to you to decide if it happens or not, but if I do I'll make sure it is something that will go with the story.
-- I am a writer, so I understand what this takes and will do it as politely and mercifully as possible. These stories are the children of our minds, and no one likes seeing their children killed, (and if you do you are a far sicker person than I am).

My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
-- I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER DO YAOI! EVER, DO YOU HEAR ME!
-- This is not because it is viewed as a sin, or anything else by other people, this is merely a personal thing. I'm a dude, so any straight romance, no matter how crack the pairing is, I'll read with an open mind, yuri is cool with me, so I'll read it. But two guys, all over each other with wind in their hair (where's that wind coming from?), not happening.
-- It might take me some time to initally get in touch with you after a request for Beta'ing, simply because I'm somewhat busy at times, and not the best at checking my e-mail, although I've gotten better at that sometimes.
-- I'll only be able to do two or three stories at a time depending on how big they are, I still have a life people insist I need to live and WOW takes time in its own right. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
-- Naruto, Teen Titan, Danny Phantom, Kim Possible, X-Men Evolution, and a couple of others, just ask me and I'll let you know.
-- The longer the better too me, the problem with reading as fast as I do is it takes a longer story to actually get into a story simply because it goes by so fast.
-- Crack pairings, simply because their fun and inventive. They have to be, otherwise we wouldn't believe in the two people hooking up!
-- Something original, AU's are really cool sometimes, but please, no more high school or vampire fics. I don't care if it is the best written tale in human history, no will read it because they've been killed. a lot. so for the sake of both your ego and my brain, please don't make another.
