Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am a strong author with a good sense of language and story flow. When I betaread, I don't just give out warm fuzzies and I don't just tear stories to pieces. Be prepared for some constructive, HELPFUL criticism. Also be prepared for comments. LOTS of comments. I've been accused of writing more than the author does. :D
Short stories, long ones, multi-chapter, or simple drabble, I'm willing to help you with all of them. If you're having trouble getting started, I'm here to help get your juices flowing or to help with 'stuck' plot points.
I expect people to send me work that they have already PROOF-READ. I will work with you on grammar, but I am not your English teacher and I'm not here to puzzle through illegible sentences and garbled words. Please have your stories at least spell-checked!
If you have a specific question or topic in mind you would like me to focus on (story flow, characterization, dialog, plot development, or whatever) please tell me. A few sentences at the beginning are very helpful for me.
I usually get stories back within a couple of days. If it'll be longer, I will send you a note telling you.

Strengths would be being very truthful in stories. If I don't like something, I'll come out and tell you. I'm also good at emotions, plot movement, characterization, story 'flow', and realistic dialog. |

I tend to look at 'whole stories' rather than nit-pick at details. If you want a nit-picker, I'm not really for you. I'm also not the foremost expert on grammar and spelling - although I'm pretty good at it - so some grammar things will slip past both of us. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I do prefer angsty, emotionally-driven stories. Not bloody/gory necessarily... just introspective and wringing. Pointless fluff and romance are all fun too. |
