Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I usually Beta-Read for Teen Fiction. You know, where they write the way they talk. (i.e 'I mean, come on! This is the 21st century!')
But, if you do other kinds of fiction, I'm down with that, too. Bad grammar really, really gets on my nerves. So I will never read a story that has bad grammar. Although, when reading, I will let off a few spelling errors. But when I'm a Beta-Reader, nothing gets let off. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I like my characters and how developed they are. If you asked, I could help develope YOUR OC characters, too.
I like my use of lingo. Haha. I can mold lingo into heaps of stuff. Especially if the lingo is Juno-esque. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Spelling! Oh, god, spelling! I always miss out a key whilst typing, or I press 'p' instead of 'o'. It gets frustrating. But reading over it more than once is a habit I'm trying to get into. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Teen Fiction. Sky High stories are always fun, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Stories that I haven't a clue about. Like 'Supernatural' or 'Firefly'. Sorry to break this to you guys, but I am not a full-fledged SciFi geek. |
