Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Okay, I'm Midnight Crystal Sage, AKA MCS, and I've been on FF for a little over a year. I especially want to help beta-read for authors who are new to the site and are unsure if their work is up to par. I can help with proofreading and description. I'll be more than willing to help out as best as I can. I'd like for people who accept my services to be open-minded and willing to be friendly. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I excel in description and using adjectives to help from a detailed visual image in the reader's mind. I'm really good with spelling, grammar, subject/verb agreement, and punctuation. Plus, I can write in 1st and 3rd person point of view. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Sometimes, I tend to rush when typing, so I may miss words or spell words incorrectly. I'm not exactly great at describing emotions either. If you want an excellent beta-reader who excels with emotions, you should see my good friend, Solid Snake's Aurora. (Mind you, she tends to change her name alot. This is the one she's under as of right now.) |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I can beta-read any kind of story. I can do: Yaoi, Yuri, and Hetero. I specialize in Romance, Humor, and Hurt/Comfort. And I can do lemons (stories with sexual content/intercourse). I'm open to any couple EXCEPT for Ike/Pit and Roy/Pit. Do not send me anything with even a hint of these two couples because I won't look at it. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I don't do Gender-bending or Mpreg (Male Pregnancy), and I would rather not do anything that has extremely bad grammar, spelling, or chatspeak (Example: U luk lyke u 8 2 many kookies!!!oneeleven) or Script format. |
