Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hey all, I'm wAcKaMoLe911, ready to be your next beta reader [sound commerical enough?]! Anyways, writing is my passion, and I love editing. Description is a big thing in my editing process and I love adding fun adjectives and what not. Grammer/spelling/punctuation is all a huge part of a good story, so I'd pick up on that too. And you can be sure I'll tell you the honest truth on your story and what I think you need to add, take away based on what you're trying to get across to your readers. I've read my fair share of stories and authored some as well. I'd like to be a beta reader mainly for Star Wars, but am willing [and excited] to do anything as long as I have a pretty good grasp on the basic story line of the original. Twilight, A Great and Terrible Beauty, V for Vendetta, Pirates are all good ones. I'd be happy though to look at any stories out there. So, send me a message! :) |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
As said earlier, I love adding more descriptions in a story. My forte though is really tragic stories. Almost all my stories have a tragic ending [or will, once they are finished], so I'm used to writing in that set of mind. I am also a good beta for stories with complicated twists and turns. Deep characters are a plus and I'd probably add a lot about them to give them more well--depth. I'm a good brainstormer if you're in need, thinking of new things to add to the story to 'spice' it up as well. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Weaknesses, while my own stories aren't of the best grammer, I do tend to pick up on it a bit in other stories. However, I may not, so word to the wise, spell check even after I may have read it. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
My first choice is Star Wars. But others like Twilight, A Great and Terrible Beauty, Little House, V for Vendetta,Peter Pan, and Pirates work as well. As long as I have some background on the T.V show/moive/book/etc., I can pretty much figure it out. And please feel free to send me the background or a helpful website and we'll be good to go! Poetry is NOT my cup of tea. I can't do poetry for anything, so please, for your own sake, don't ask me to beta read that. If compelled to ask me after forewarning, I will atempt, but cannot promise anything worth publishing on this site. And no Anime please. I can handle comics [like V for Vendetta], but those are rare. |
