Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hi, I am a high school student currently making A's in world lit., english IV, and theory of knowledge classes. I am a hands on beta reader and I can often review a story quickly, for I check my email religiously. I would love to offer my thoughts to you and your stories, because I love writing. Even though I have written only stories for Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean, I am open to any kind of movie or television show. I am a normal reader and writer of fanfictions and read so many stories, so I have the *feel* for a good story. Feel free to add me as your Beta Reader. x |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am pretty harsh when it comes to getting down a solid plot, spelling and grammar, and organization (by that I mean quotations and separating bars between certain segments in a story chapter). Length honestly doesn't matter to me as long as it's not just two words. I accept Poetry, as well, and I am good at adding stanzas when needed. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I am actually not too clever with dialogue, if you want to add a touch of brilliance. If I can think it over for a while, a joke, per say, it probably will *not* be the funniest or most clever joke in the world. Although I accept poetry, I do not prefer it, because I cannot offer my ideas as easily. I do not have much experience when it comes to poetry either: I don't take that class in my school. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I would like to beta Star Wars in preference, but as long as I am on a semi-familiar basis with the movie/show/book than I will be a solid beta. I also like Pirates as well, Les Miserables, Friends, Juno, Love Actually, That 70s Show, and everything that you can think of... besides anime. I like romance stories with a certain twist and action/adventure stories, but others are welcome as well. |

Any anime stories are *not* my cup of tea. I honestly *do not* get them, or ever would watch cartoon shows. I apologize. |
