Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I have been here about 2 years, I only write/read Stephanie Plum. I have written a couple hundred thousand words, over the course of three full length stories. I enjoy dialogue, interior dialogue and emotion in my characters. I am fairly strict in beta/editing. I am distracted by poor proofing before stories are published.
I beta privately for two Plum authors currently.
I want you to listen to me before you decide NOT to follow my advice. I want you to understand that if "I" see it on the first read through, chances are so will everyone else who reads. Will it bother/frustrate them as much? Probably not. But you are putting yourself out there---put your best foot forward.
If we begin a story together, and you agree to allow me to beta, I will STOP if you choose to post before I have a chance to read/beta any chapter. It will just have to wait if I am away for the weekend or something. Sorry, but it's 'my name/reputation' at beta-ing at stake when you get to that point... |
