Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I feel the best way to give feedback is to give personal opinions and reactions to a story. On top of that, I give specific comments about phrasing and situation, as well as my thoughts as the characters, scenes, and plot as a whole. I'm a firm believer that if someone disagrees strongly with their editor that that is a good thing. The stronger the opinion, the more the author shows their conviction to what they feel is necessary in their own story. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I can look at a story and enjoy it for it's own merits, and not for it's complexity or it's value as literature. I will put lots of time and effort into "beta-ing" and put as much effort into improving your story as you put in writing it in the first place. Even if I don't know your category, I am always willing to learn. I also have a good feel of dialog. |

I have a very weak grasp on proper spelling and some grammar and punctuation rules. Also, I sometimes procrastinate, though I don't let others down. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I like stories that are more character oriented. Also, I absolutely love crossovers of all types. I would prefer it if the story had a more humorous feel, but I doesn't need to. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I don't do any other pairing than guy/girl. Period. Any slash and I won't read it. Also, romance in general is not my cup of tea, though I do appreciate fluff. |
