Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
It`s me Ojisama.
I Beta-read my bestfriends work before she posts it, and I`d love to read yours! I check anything to everything including punctuation, spellings, and wether your sentences make sence or not! :-)
Any one is welcome to have me beta for them. Any type of story is usually fine. If you are a slash/yaoi/shounen-ai or any M/M writer ..Great! I prefer those stories to anything else.
I don`t have any qualms about reading any category but, I know more about the anime/manga section than any other. Hence, I`ll be more able to make sure you characters are well, in character :3.
But don`t feel hesitant to drop me a beta request!

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I always re-read sentences to ensure that they are mostly correct.
I always check for spelling/sentence mistakes and I will personally correct them without losing what you were trying to say within the sentence. Less work for you :D
I`m fairly good at punctuation, and I will correct this also if need be. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Well..If the story doesn`t catch my interest within half the chapter, I`ll probably take a little longer to complete betaing it. But ..you don`t need to worry alot about this.
Another of my weaknesses might be punctuation. I`m good at it in my own writing, I can usually spot a mistake, and know what to fix it with. But I can`t promise editor-esque results! |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I would most definately prefer M/M! It doesn`t have to be full fledged M/M -ness. It can be as subtle as you could possibly write it!
I also prefer the Anime/Manga section over all else because I am a nerd that way, And your chances of writing a story of an anime/manga I haven`t heard of, are slim to none.
( I will check it out if possible. )
I will possibly accept things from the book section.
Hetero side pairings are fine.
I will most definately accept any hetero pairing with Haruhi/ anyone except Hunni from Ouran High School Host Club.

Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
HETEROSEXUAL FICS! I will not read.
Not because they can`t be interesting. But because no anime/manga has a good female character.
Most authors make them worse in my humble opinion. SO...I will not read them.
I also will not touch an OC story unless you can ENSURE that I will like your OC.
I am very comfortable reading out of the Anime/manga section, other than that probably not so much as I don`t read fics from the other sections much. |
