Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
As a beta-reader I would read over your story for any mistakes I can pick out. I'd look over all of your grammar, puncuation, spelling, formatting, and characterization problems. If I felt you needed it I'd give you suggestions. Also, I won't hesitate to critique your work. That's what I am here to do. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strengths when beta-reading anything is my ability to pick out the tiniest grammatical errors and my knowledge of the tricky puncuation and format difficulties so many authors have today. I love grammar, so that's what I look for most when beta-reading and even regular reading. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My weaknesses are probably helping with ideas for your story, as a reader, I can't possibly know where you want your story to go unless you tell me. On that note, I will help you in any way I can. My job is to help you make your story better. I won't turn my back on that. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I would prefer any story from Gilmore Girls or Life With Derek because I read those most of the time. Although, if you ask nicely I'll probably read over anything you ask. Now, for any other fandom I may not be as good to bounce ideas off or catch you on OOCness because I'm not used to the characters. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
If you ask nicely I'd probably BETA anything you give me. I don't mind at least looking over anything that you think needs it. I will gladly check your grammar, spelling, puncuation, and formatting no matter what the story is. |
