Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
18 year old teen who would like to encourage writers like yourself to improve your writing techniques.
I will give you what I think about your written work bluntly. Everyone is capable of improving and never say "I can't do better than this." Believe me, you can and will if you want to. Ask for advice if you would like. I am open-minded and would love to help you when I am available. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I love to write and no one can stop me when I have a pen in hand and paper in front of me.
I am fairly good at writing fictions with advantures, drama, comedy or anything that would catch my interest.
Completing Advance Placement English grade 12 was the best I had chosen to take and it has helped me improved my writing skills. If your school offers you some kind of Advance English classes, take it. Creative Writing classes are also recommanded as well. Just a reminder: not everyone is perfect whether or not they've taken any of these courses. Practise makes perfect. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I am terrible at writting romance stories myself and I can never get the mood right. At times when I write I will switch from present tense to past tense. Sometimes I end up having to leave some written stuff aside for a week if not two weeks before going back to it and correct it once again. Most of my inspirations usually come to me near midnight and I end up losing a lot of sleep because of it. In the end, I was worth losing sleep for a good story line, sometimes. |

Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Please, no Mary Sues OCs. I will be glad to give some advice to steer you away from that cirlce.
Also some stories who does not use proper speaking quotation marks instead write it in a half play/story format.
IE.
Collen: Hello. Sorry I'm Late.
he said after running two blocks from his home to a family restuarant.
Sophia: Don't worry. You're not the last one to arrive late.
The two turn to see another walk around a corner and he didn't look please about something.
Why do that? If you want to write in a play format then stick to the play formant. If it's in a story format then keep it that way. |
