Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I've always been good with the English language, so if you want the grammar in any particular area looked at with a large magnifying glass, let me know. I've done my fair share of Creative Writing classes, writing and contests, so I can also critique language, but I'm a little shy about it, so you probably ought to ask if you want that too. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm pretty good at spotting typos and grammatical errors. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I tend to take anything even faintly believable as "in character." Not that I'm incapable of picking out things blatantly obvious, just that I tend to assume the author has a plan. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I like maturer pieces, or pieces that have well-developed plots and/or characters. I enjoy close-to-cannon and I enjoy wild-tangents. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Netspeak, childishly clichéd or over-powerful characters |
