Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I tend to be a very helpful and informative reader who is more then willing to help anyone improve their writing. Although Im decent with grammar, I am amazing at character and plot accuracies (although I can work OOC) so if those are your weaknesses, Im sure I can help. I will attempt to remain rather consistent and perhaps beta either every day or every other day depending on the length of story, amount that I need to fix and how busy my life is at the moment. I will highlight anything that I change so you can see what I think you should fix, however it is merely a suggestion and Im fine with you using the original. Expectations? Someone who wont constantly snap at me, someone who understands that I do have another life and someone who at least has SOME writing skill would be appreciated. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strengths are with characters, plots, spelling, some grammer and knowing the books, movies, etc. that I picked out insanely well. I can easily pick up on OOC, inacuracies in the plot, potential problems yet Im also very honest... perhaps bluntly so, so if thats an issue then Id recommend finding someone else. |

Grammer isnt my strongest point, I'm not the worst. I can ususally pick up on errors in other peoples stories, however I will sometimes over look things. Other then that, Im a rather talented proofreader. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I love romance, especially slash and/or with unusual pairings. Honestly, Ive heard of or read most pairings and if I havent chances are Ill be just fine with it. Im also willing to do hurt/comfort, family, friends, angst and other more normal plots. I do prefer slightly longer works although Im fine with some oneshots. Im fine with OOC to an extent, for example Id have a problem with Snape from Harry Potter prancing around in a Tutu. However other then major cases like that Im quiet fine with OCC. Some crossovers are fine with me, however there does need to be an explenation for the sudden occurance. Im also fine with alternate universe storeis for most stories. |

Hmm, I cant think of many types of stories Im NOT fine with. However, if its something very out of the norm then feel free to ask. |
