Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm new at this, so I wouldn't be able to give you too much information yet. Honestly I think the only way to know if we'd get along or not would be to contact me, though. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I've been told I do well with characterization; I've written for all of the fandoms I'm offering to beta for, so you can determine that for yourself. I also do well with spelling and general grammar. I think I'm good at making readers empathize with characters or in the very least can identify traits that would make them appear empathetic in other people's stories. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I procrastinate. I worry. I go back and forth about what I think sounds right as far as sentence structure goes. Although I have a fair vocabulary, what I use of it is relatively limited. I hate confrontation so I'd probably be a little hesitant to say larger topics of the story, such as characterization, are wrong even if I feel they are. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Aside from the obvious-- the categories and genres which I've chosen and which you can see below -- I have no preferences. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
As said above, I'd prefer them to be in my specified categories and genres, but it's not necessarily a prerequisite. I'd also rather not read fics over 5,000 words long, but if it's in a category I like I'll have no problem with that, either. |
