Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hello, this is Fieldings. I am an inexperienced Beta Reader, since I've only started recently. My section would either be of Anime/Manga or Books. I would like to help, in whatever way, fanfiction writers and do my part for the community. American spelling. I many cases I will need the author's email so we can communicate better. |

Proof reading, spelling errors, plot development and depending of the series, in characterization. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My comments and opinions are usually very long. Although my critic will be constructive, I often focus on the nicer parts of the story and can't always be blunt. Sadly, my grammar is bad. I might mistake tenses and phrases constructions. However I will focus on the flow of the story. There may be long periods of time until I respond. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Anime/Manga (FMA, AP Hetalia, DRRR!, others) category followed by Books (His Dark Materials, Harry Potter, others) and Cartoons (ATLA). I prefer stories with lighter tones, such as Humor, Friendship and Romance. Fantasy may also be accounted. No problem with Angst or even Drama. Preferred rating: K, K+ or T. Although I am not experienced with M writing, I may review it. Yaoi is very much accepted. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Mostly Comics, Games and sometimes TV series, since I don't read many Fanfics of these. If the work has too many OCs and is out of character, I won't read it. I rarely Horror, Supernatural, Spiritual or Suspense so I won't read those genres. Anything gruesome, really. I might be able to read Mystery and Crime, though. I am not apt to read Poetry, sadly. |
