Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am pretty good with spotting spelling errors and grammar problems in other's fics. I also tend to give suggestions if I really like the fic. Some people like that some don't. Oh well. C'est La Vie.
I work fast for/with others so I'd usually be able to get back to you right away. And with summer vacation coming up I'll have all the time in the world. And yes I know I'm lazy. But thats only for me, myself and I!

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Like I said, I'm good at finding other people's grammar mistakes. And I throw in my own suggestions now and then. I can keep characters in character since I tend to research them a lot before starting to write my fics, and some might call me controlling, but if I start to notice a character going OOC I usually send the writer a little pm.
And I really good with pokemon names spelling (if thats a strength) |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Well, most of my weaknesses can be seen in my fics really. I'm pretty lazy with my own grammar since I really like focusing on plot development over commas. And I can't really spot a missing comma in a sea of words. And this is something I'm trying to fix with myself: If I really get into a story I start giving suggestions and unwillingly tread into plot development territory. Some writers are okay with it but others get mad that someone is telling them how to write their fics.
And I absolutely hate the words your and you're. I always mix them up so if I beta your fic try to catch those words 'cause I probably wont. (In case you havent noticed I'm trying REALLY hard to write the right "your" words in my profile)
And to top it off I guess, I'm not perfect. I make mistakes. So if I missed something in your fic: It came from being human. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I love humor stories and romance stories. I absolutely love mysteries, and will happily accept any case closed fics. (my current obbssesionâ„) I will also do Pokemon, Warriors, ans Smash Bros. fics. I'll also accept Yugioh Gx fics only because my friend's obbssesion made me knowledgeable about it. And I still have all those fansites in my favorites (Evil woman) |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I refuse to beta M fics, Yaoi/Yuri, poems and songfics. Poetry and songs are just not my forte and I'm still a teen so I rather not deal with lemon and Yaoi. If thats the request, I'm sorry but No Way! |
