Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm a nice person, and I'm easy to get along with. I won't annoy you-- at least, I hope so. My only expectations is that you aren't cruel to my thoughts on your writing style, etc. and you won't be mad if I can't get back to you in ten minutes. I also hope you can speak proper English, and not use chat speak for the most part. I'm not that l33t.
I'll be honest with my betaing, and if you have an over-cliched plot, I will tell you so calmly and as nice as I can. I'm not going to baby you, so I will be honest.
Some anime/manga/books/shows/whatever else I have marked off I'm more familiar with than others. If I'm non-to familiar with it, than I will tell you in advanced, but it doesn't stop me from helping your grammar and such. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
To be honest, if I watch a show or read a manga, etc. I can pick up on the characters personalities quite well and notice when something is off when someone describes them. So I notice quickly when ones character is off by a small amount.
I also notice when things don't flow well, or at all. I'll help you with that if you have problems!
I respond quite quickly too, because I'm on the computer constantly. The only way I'm NOT on, is because I'm at school, hanging with friends (VERY unlikely), or my internet is down. Which happens quite a bit. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I have my own way to write, and I tend to make everyone think it's the right way. Just tell me "No, I don't do it that way." and I'll listen and try never to correct it again. I may be annoying, but I do listen and I understand.
I also notice small things that I'll point out that may or may not to be that helpful. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'll do anything, but I'm more into yaoi/yuri than normal pairings. Though I'll do any pairing, because I'm open to anything. I'm up to lemons, limes, citruses, incest, rape, etc. Non-canon and canon pairings work for me, no matter who or what (Maybe a dog? Cat? Log?) someone or something is paired with. Whatever you throw at me, I can take. (Though I do tend not to like to read pairings where it's an old man with a child.) |
