Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm generally more of a critical reader, I'll give advice when it's needed and tell you if a story needs more of something, I try to be nice about this though, I know how hurtful it can be to have someone, especially someone you don't know, tell you that you're not good enough.
I'm a stickler for proper spelling and grammer and know some Japanese Romaji.
I'm from Australia, so I spell things in Aust/UK English (Mum not Mom, Colour not Color etc...) so if you use American English spelling please let me know so I don't correct spelling like this.
So far I've only beta-read for friends before they've published on the net but I love helping people so please pick me as a beta!!! |

I'm pretty good at English particularly grammer and spelling, I'm also good at giving advice, bouncing ideas off of and helping with writers block. |

I can be a bit critical but for every bad comment I make I try to give a nice comment to balance it.
I also might have to study for my Marine Biology Uni course so I may have to dissappear around exam and assignment due dates. |

Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Anything from categories not listed in preferred as I don't know enough about the plots to really beta the stories effectively.
Also no violent rape stories, I can handle brief mentions or skimmed over scenes but not graphic and violent ones they give me the creeps.
Poetry is also not my forte. |
