Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Sometimes you see a story's description and immediately scroll down to the next one. Sometimes you click on a story and can't even understand what the heck it says! Well, I'm here to help. If you need me to edit your story, please feel free to ask! I would have lots of fun and stories with correct grammar and spelling get significantly more hits than error-riddled ones. Everybody makes mistakes, and having some trouble with grammar and/or spelling is nothing to be ashamed of. However, sometimes there is no room for errors. Are your reviews full of complaints about grammar or spelling? Are you worried that mistakes are turning off readers? Well, that's what we're here for. Please ask me to be your beta reader! No biggie, really! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Though I can sometimes make a careless mistake, I'm only human. However, I am a strong speller and I have an eye for grammatical errors. Also, some stories or their descriptions can look jumbled together and your eyes cross while you read them! I can fix that. I like to arrange stories so that they are easier to read and understand, without erraticating anything that the author wrote. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Like I said, I sometimes make careless mistakes. For example, if I rush through writing a story I may accidentally leave something there that I meant to erase. However, while betareading, it's already written so that would not be a problem. I will do my very, very best not to leave any errors in your story. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I will betaread any story, even if it is from a fandom I do not have a particular interest in. I'm here for the grammar and spelling. If I need to know how to spell a name or place (or, perhaps a spell or concept) correctly, I'll just look it up on the Internet. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Though any fandom is open for me, I would prefer not to betaread a story that mocks or challenges God. It's not like those are rampant here anyway, though. I'm also not a big fan of incest, but I'd still be happy to betaread a story about it. Who am I to judge? |
