Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm 31, overeducated and underworked! I am a theatrical artist who loves to write and enjoys helping other people write. Style is a big focus of mine, creating interesting and lifelike OCs, interesting plots and staying true to canon are some benchmarks of my preferences. You may need to remind me, I have a busy real life and I can unintentionally forget things at times; but I promise to give you my attention and best quality suggestions in return for a little patience.
I like humor, drama, and most subject matter as long as it is handled maturely. I don't mind who I read for, as long as they are serious about putting in the effort to write. I am fine with Mature subject matter; but I don't proof slash/porn.

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Excellent grasp of style, vocabulary, and overall story cohesion. I am very honest and will give advice on character creation, plot creation and story form as well as proofreading. Willing to work with any writer who is willing to take constructive criticism, regardless of story style or experience. |

I'm not a grammar nazi. I'm decently good at proofreading, but not perfect. If you want a human comma checker, it's prolly not me. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Any stories where the author is willing to receive constructive criticism and suggestions without feeling 'picked on' I will beta a lot of genres I don't necessarily write for; particularly Star Trek. I like the Ninja Turtle community which is why I wrote pretty much only TMNT stories, but I enjoy reading many genres. |

Self insertion fics, people who just want ego stroking, Slash (Mature is fine. XXX is not), excessive angst, songfics. |
