Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm going to be fair. I will not coddle you. I will kick your ass to make sure you get it in gear. I'm an absolute stickler for IC and I will drive you up the wall if it's not. I'm harsh on the outside but really, I will give you all the love and attention you could ever need or want for that matter. I just want to help you get better. Don't worry I promise I will be nice, but I will also be firm. I'll be there for you at all times of day and if you need something done and edited, it WILL be done. That I can always promise. I have an eye for mistakes, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DO NOT SPEAK THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. I'm 100% fluent in English and I have a tendency to catch mistakes in even published works. You'd be surprised how many there are if you pay enough attention...

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I will catch every single one of your mistakes in the English language. Far too many people make them so if that's your fear I'll always be here for you. I'm good at fixing up dialog to express characters. As in the correct contractions to make a person sound uneducated and proper dialog punctuation since so many people mess that up.
Let's see... I'm also great at feeding ideas and helping develop plot ideas further. If you need someone to bounce some ideas around I'm your man. Or woman. Not the point here ;)
Oh and if you need help writing an M rated scene, I'm decent at giving advice :) |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
When I write grammar kicks my ass, but when I read I will always notice it. As for my main weakness... that would be spelling, but that's why I have Microsoft word and a dictionary always at hand ;) |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Yaoi, Yuri and some het... take your pick, I'll do it. I'll do horror, I'll do romance, hell I'll do a freaking Cinderella AU. If you have a story and don't mind taking loving criticism then I'm perfect for you. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I will do het... but it MUST not be rated M. I'll start twitching if it is. Other than that I'm willing to read anything, just as long as it's not 100% crack. As I stated earlier I'm a stickler for IC. If I can't see them doing it, then I'll suggest changing it. |
