Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
As a beta-reader,I am fairly new.Yes,seeing as though I am still a learning student I may make mistakes just like humans do,but I try to locate my errors and fix them as best to my abilities as I can.My beta-reading style is that I first read the entire thing through once,not bothering to locate any fine details,then I go back once more and slowly read it,then maybe I'd go back a while later and read it again,just to be sure I didn't leave anything out.
I am also a rising freshman, about to undergo Pre-IB English 9. I have always had great grades on my writing pieces in an English class, and am currently proud of a letter I wrote to a retiring science teacher at my school, and when my English teacher handed it back, she smiled at me and went;
"This paper is absolutely perfect!"
Yay. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am strong as spelling,I know that for a fact.My grammar is somewhat strong,but I haven't really had a chance to experiment with that.I like big words that make people look them up in a large dictionary.It's those writers that have made me bookmark Merriam-Webster's homepage! |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I am weak in areas such as the horror genre.That,and action.I write romance and humor well,but I'm very sensitive and am scared easily,so I've never really branched out to write horror.With my past experiences,I can say that I cannot write fight scenes.My mind works faster naturally,but I have trouble capturing the scene in my head and transferring it to paper. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I would prefer to beta-read poetry,angst,drama,romance,humor,and parodies over other genres as that is what I enjoy writing the most and with those genres I'm sure I can co-create a work of art. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I would not like to beta-read sci-fi or western stories.Plain and simple. |
