I wouldn't say that I really excel at beta-reading, but I AM able to help you improve your story and correct any mistakes that you might make.



Apart from making general corrections for your story/chapter, I am also able to help you develop your plot and/or strengthen your characters if required. I will do my best to enhance your story to a point such that there would noticable improvements in the original version of your story and the beta-ed version. Please have faith in me! XD



However, before sending your story/chapter to me, please make sure you read over it at least once. I will not accept fics with unreasonable spelling errors and very noticable punctuation mistakes. I do understand that typos often occur, but to have an uncountable number of typos in a fic, it is basically unacceptable for me (by 'uncountable' I do know I'm exaggerating). So please, it is required to at least scan over your fic if you would like me to beta for you.



Regarding the plot/character development, do not expect me to rewrite your story for you; as a beta, I will only criticize your story and give necessary suggestions, but I will not write out anything for you as a reference.

I couldn't really say that vocabulary is my strength, but I'm definitely not weak at it. Developing descriptions of settings/characters would be one of my strong points too.

I'll have to admit that my grammar skills aren't very ideal; but not to the extent that I can't notice basic or even minor grammatical errors, if any. I could be a bit kind at some points too.

I would prefer stories with vivid descriptions and a rather twisting plot. A very enjoyable fic to read, I would say; and/or rather fics that leave you wanting to read more. Mild yaoi/shounen-ai is accepted along with normal pairings.



I like to read angst and humor, romance fics are accepted as well, as long as it's not too concentrated on this one genre only; I enjoy reading mystery/crime too. Death fics are generally acceptable for me.

Basically, I rather dislike OC fics, particularly with the OC as the main character and especially fics with a Mary Sue/Gary Stu, I refuse to beta any of those. And I also won't beta stories with generally no character development at all; it kind of makes the fic a bit messy. I also won't accept fics with a straightforward plot, the only effect is making the ending very predictable and the whole story very boring to read.



I also dislike crossovers, I don't want any of those; and I refuse to read any character abuse and/or (attempted) rape/torture. Generally, although I pretty much enjoy reading crack fics, I would rather prefer not beta-ing them; because overall, from my point of view, the language used in crack fics are simple and plain （no offence, though). The characters are also mainly OOC, but in a reasonable crackish way, therefore I don't see the necessity to beta for it.
