Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
As one who has needed a beta quite a few times, I understand what it's like to be left in the dark about your fic. Sometimes you're your own worst critic, or your own worst fan. Though I am in college right now, I have beta-ed fics before and have a good turn-around time (anywhere from 3-7 days, depending on length and necessity). I'm a grammar betch and a spelling beast (though I tend to miss it in my own fics from time to time). I will be open and honest with your fic, but I promise not to be brutal. If you need re-direction, I will suggest it. If you opt to not take my suggestions, I will continue beta-ing your fic regardless, unless you choose to pick a different beta. I've written 15 fics at this point from 2001 to now, so I think my experience speaks for itself at this point. PM me and we'll talk! |

If I get swamped with homework, it may take me a bit longer to get your fic/chapter back to you. Also, if there's MANY grammar mistakes, I get frustrated and a bit rushed. So it would help to re-read your raw copy before sending it back to me :D |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I can do all sorts of fics: from romance to comedy, angst to tragedy. I'm not a fan of horror, but if you send me a chapter or synopsis, I may tackle it.
DBZ is what I've mostly been writting all of these years. I've only recently gotten into Naruto, but I am willing to read fics for it, though at times I may send a question or two your way if I'm not sure about something. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
NO heavy lemons, limes. No incest nor uuber-non-cannon pairings (like Vegeta and Pan or Goku and Bura). I may accept non-cannon pairings, but it must be tastefully written. |
