Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm a perfectionist when it comes to grammar and spelling errors. I feel that punctuation is needed for two very important reasons: it makes reading easier for the reader and it brings personality to the writing. If needed, I will add punctuation, and correct spelling errors as well as grammatical problems such as changing "am" to "are" among others. I am also willing to offer my opinion on how sentences are structured, if it is wished of me. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I believe that I am very good at spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Though all my acquaintances think I'm crazy for it, I consider commas and periods my friends. As for writing, I think adjectives are my strong point as long as they're not working against me. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I have encountered sentences that seem near impossible to correct before. I am not very patient, and this leads me to either giving up, or procrastinating. While I am a perfectionist, sometimes my lazy side overpowers me. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I adore comedies about the characters I love. Simple cutesy stories about my favorite characters are favorable as well. I also like tragedies, romances, and one-shots. But really, I'll betaread almost anything. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I must admit, yaoi fics are not my cup of tea. While I'm not for them, I'm not saying I won't betaread them. I love romances, and even though I'm against yaoi I can still appreciate a well written story. Though I will not betaread any yaoi stories that include sex. |
