Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
As a beta-reader, I'd gladly check anyone's work, and make any necessary corrections. My writing style is normally Drama, hence everything that goes on in my longer stories. It's be good if people would check their work before asking me to go through it, so they'd just be getting a proof read from me. If they want any changes, I'd ask them to add notes or e-mail me so I know where to add or take away parts. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm quite good at getting punctuation in the right places, and I'm also good at spellings. In my stories, if I write about the sensitive issues like Cot Death or Domestic Violence, I try to do my research into those subjects, so I can make it as realistic as I can and get my facts right before I write my stories. And if, when checking through my own work, I notice punctuation or spelling mistakes, I go back and correct them, so people who might read my stories don't get confused. |

I sometimes get some of my punctuation in the wrong places, but as I said, I'd go back and correct them. The same with spellings. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'd prefer The Bill, Casualty and Hollyoaks, but I wouldn't mind doing Home and Away or Harry Potter. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I'd rather not do Sci-Fic, Games or Western , as they're not really my favourite genre. And please don't give me JAM for the Bill, cos I feel uncomfortable just reading them. |
