Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Heyy I'm Arya Svit-kona, but Arya works too. Really just call me Arya.
I'm very straight forward, and can give you some really great advice on just about anything and everything in your stories. Some of my comments may seem harsh, but they are meant to help you out. If anything I say really does bother you let me know. Also, I understand the series I write/beta for extremely well. So there wouldn't be a lot of confusion on plots, characters, etc. I can help on plots, characters, storylines, or quotes. You name it, I can help you with it.
Send me what you have, I'll read through it, give you a TON of feedback on it and ways to improve it. Also, I proofread too, so the grammer is up to my standards.
I'll read anything you send to me, as long as it's in:
Harry Potter,
Twilight,
Pirates of the Caribbean,
Lord of the Rings, and/or
Eragon.
Those are the stories I love reading and write for about about. Send me a chapter, summary, or plot (preferably all three, but I will take combinations.) I'll read it through and tell you what I think of it. I'll read just about anything. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I stick to plots very well. Although I'm very open to change in the storylines. I can help anyone with just about anything in a story. I have an excellent eye for grammer and seem to have a way with words, lol. I can pick up on a characters personality very quickly so even just a chapter I can help you with. I am very familiar with the worlds of Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean, although I'm working on Twilight and still know a ton about it. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Well, if the story/chapter/plot is really good I have a tendency to read through very fast not even noticing the mistakes. Which means I have to go back through it, proofread, and change anything that doesn't fit/make sense. In other words, it takes me longer than it should.
Also, if your story is bland/boring it may take me a while to get through it. Although I will tell you how to spice it up a bit. |
