Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm mostly the guy you turn to when you're having trouble with spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. I at least expect my "clients" to be a native English speaker (or at least be fluent in it) but if you speak another language and you're just translating, that's OK too. Also, when people send me documents, I tend to save them in Microsoft Word 2007 format (.docx) automatically, so if that's not going to be compatible, please let me know. My style is flexible, and comprehensive. |

I have severe limitations pertaining to characterization, especially for fics based on books/shows/etc. that I'm not familiar with. However, I will do the best that I can (but frankly, I think most writers on this site need my strong point [see above] and don't need to worry about my weakness!!). |

Absolutely, positively, NO SLASH/HETEROSEXUAL/GAY PAIRINGS!! If it isn't in character, I won't beta it!! If the canon character is paired with an OC and he/she is single in canon, fine. But I HATE it when people put two canon characters together when they're paired with other people in the actual storyline!! (e.g. pairing Harry with Hermione, instead of Ginny, who he is SUPPOSED to be with). |
