Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I hope to read alot of stories by becoming a Beta Reader. I've written only one sucessful story so far and have a few stories in development (Too bad I can't Beta my own stories!). I hope to be a writer one day and I'm making my start here. So, keep those stories coming and I'll keep on reading! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I think I can catch the nature of a character pretty well. I like to borrow small aspects from other stories to try and improve on them. I haven't recieved many negative reviews yet (WooHoo!), and plan to keep it that way. I'm also very particular about spelling and punctuation in my stories, so, I've avoided any of those, so far. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I have a hard time creating Original Characters in my stories. I find that it's alot easier to just take a character that already has a personality and work with them that way. I also get distracted in my stories and sometimes will start a fiction and lose track of how to finish it. So, I may end up updating stories that people think are long gone. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I really like mixtures of adventure and romance. I think that the depth of stories like that can be taken alot further. A good mystery is always nice, too. Unless it's predictable or stupid. I also like Angst and stories with deep storylines and character development. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I've never like "OMG! I'M IN THE FICTION!" types of stories. Sexual things that might be called offensive by others are always called offensive by me. EX. Futa, Incest, Rape, Necrophelia, Beastiality, etc. Also, if the overall quality of your fiction makes it seem like it was written by an Elementary School child, I won't even bother to read it. |
