Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I've decided to beta and Vampirate stories I'm not sure how good at it I'll be but I thought, 'Why not just give it a shot'
I'll just warn you that if I do beta read I will probably end up sounding really harsh, its nothing personal, I'm just picky.
I'm not a great speller but I might find the occasional grammar mistake.
I'm good at angst and thinking of dark, sinister and gory ideas and sad endings are my speciality. I also tend to have lots of symbolism which apparently is only noticeable by me.
My Expectations? In the Vampirates Category, in English and not under any of the things listed in "not my cup of tea". |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Villains, Plot, Symbolism/Foreshadowing, Angst, Dragging Things Out (which could also be a weakness, lol), Unhappy Endings |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Spelling, Poems, Songfics, Fighting Scenes, Some types of romance. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Anything goes exept those listed below. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Smut / Lemons - I'm fine with Fluff & kissing, but nothing heavy.
Stories with OC's as main characters - I don't mind OC's as long as they are minor characters.
I also really hate brother/sister pairings. |
