Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Well, I've never beta-ed before so I'm sure if I have a style as a beta-reader but I'll try really hard and if I stink at it I swear I'll quit! I will try to catch as many errors as possible but I might miss a few occasionally! I won't be able to give much input if your chosen pairing gets er.. physical, but as far as dialouge goes I'll do my best. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Grammar (I know my there from my their), usually, and plot if you fill me in on where you're trying to head I'll try to help you get there subtly without hurrying. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Punctuation and spelling, I couldn't tell you where to use a semi-colon or how to spell... well I told you I can't spell it! I'll do my best though and try to help you make your story as good as possible! |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I like Dramione best but will also read most potter pairings that aren't slash. After Dramione I like HG/SS, HG/BZ, GW/DM, and time-travel RL/HG and HG/SB. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I hate smut and won't read it, and even if I did read it trust me I won't have much input because I'd have no clue how to relate it to reality. I have nothing against slash but don't read that either or femeslash, once again my input on plot or the character relationship would be useless and futile. I prefer off the beaten path romances (like DM/HG or HG/SS) but will read the conventional ones too. Also, really hate Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossovers, nothing against them I just don't like them (could have something to do with the fact I've never seen Buffy though) and really I dislike most crossovers now that I think on it. Sorry. |
