Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
By becoming a beta-reader, I aim to simply help writers become happier with their work and to reach the highest quality possible at the same time. I'm not an aggressive person, and I would never steer the vision of another. I'd do my utmost to be supportive and friendly, but to help a story mature to reach its greatest potential. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm strong in the fields of transitions and description, such as setting and characterization. I also have a somewhat large vocabulary, so I'm well accustomed to spotting repeated words or phrases. I have also gotten progressively stronger with catching grammar and spelling, and I can catch most to all errors pretty well. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I have a love of description, which could end up a curse. I sometimes have a habit of overdoing it in some instances, but I have been striving to improve upon that. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I really have no preference in a type of story. I really just want to help anyone who needs me. Of course, I would be more comfortable in the fandoms I write for, but I'm definitely willing to beta for things outside of that narrow range. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
There isn't anything I would turn down, but I'm a bit wary of OOC fanfictions, unless they are purposely done so for the sake of humor. |
