Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am a person who will read anyone's story without hesitation. No matter how long or how short, I will read any story. I will never give up on a story and will never flame one. I pick up on both good and bad points, and will not hesitate totell you what you need to improve on. If you seriously need help, I will do my best with my power to help you, even if I am not good at the particular area. I try my best to use advanced vocabulary, and improve the words you use. Be in mind if you want me to beta for you, and answer the following in your head.
1. Do you like your story, and how it is?
2. Do you take critism or overreact to it easily?
3. Are you a person that will make a huge deal about flames, or do you frequently flame people? |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am an Advanced English student, and can type very well. I am a good speller, and good with grammar. I am good at noticing any mistakes. I am familiar with the categories I have chosen (except for Harry Potter, Twilight, and xxxHolic) and call tell you if the characters are out of character. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I am very fast at reading, so I might miss some important points in the story. I can tend to overreact and get out of subject. My vocabulary is not that advanced. And the most important thing to remember if you choose me as a beta reader: I have a very short attention and memory span, so I may forget sometimes to beta read. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I don't really prefer one story to beta read from another. All I ask is that you please do not use chatspeak, n00b, or very bad grammar/spelling when contacting me. It will make you look bad. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I prefer not to read... lemony things. I'm still not an adult, and sure I already know this stuff but it's kind of weird (and gets me cracking up or smirking) hearing the word... 'sex.' I also do not like it when people use chatspeak, or n00b, as I said many times before. And I also am against Yaoi, but there is only one exception to that, which is Twincest. |
