Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm new to beta-reading but I'd like to give a shot. I'll point any major flaws in grammar, plot, spelling, etc. and generally just give constructive criticism or suggest little changes (I wouldn't try to completely change anything, like taking over). I don't have any huge expectations and don't mind giving you a hand.
I check my e-mail regularly and would be able to respond quickly (unlike updating my own stories because they take longer). If I can't edit for any reason I'd warn you in advance (yeah, I know, big-headed to think you'd care, lol). |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I can point out punctuation errors and spelling, grammar. If the writing doesn't flow, I'd point it out and suggest how to fix it up. Apparently I'm good at creating atmosphere and getting emotions across. |

I can read long chapters but I can't write them very well (I tend to go straight to the point). |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'll pretty much take on anything you'd like to give me, but I prefer to read actual stories rather than songfics but I don't mind if a song is included within a story as long as the story isn't all about the song rather than plot. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Songfics and lemons. Anything else is great. For some reason I'm not too fond of stories on ships/set at sea but if it's well written I can stand it, lol. |
