I often do not have time to beta, but when I do I am very critical and I give a lot of feedback. My goal is to help you improve your writing, not coddle you. If you take criticism personally or your are a super sensitive person-- I'm probably not for you. |

I'm an English teacher and a writer myself. I will look at your grammar, diction, and characterizations closely. I love writing dialogue, so if you need a brush up on that, I'd be happy to offer suggestions. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
If there are too many errors, I'll get overwhelmed and I won't be able to help you. Same if you have poor formatting. I'll try to help, but if every chapter repeats the same mistakes (i.e. you're not learning from your mistakes/my comments) I'll get frustrated and I won't be able to continue. I also tend to sporadically come and go from fanfiction... I might be able to help you for a few chapter and then just disappear. Sorry. It happens. |

Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I do not enjoy Star Wars Prequels or other fics that don't involve Luke.
Star Wars and Harry Potter are huge fandoms-- my list above is pretty much my limit. You can ask about others.
Stories that have chapters that are only a 100 or so words long drive me crazy. If you write those, please don't send them to me. |
