Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hello people, how are you? Okay, so basically I love to read, and generally read all types of stories. I stick mostly with "Life with Derek," because I know the characters so well and know how they act and their personalities. I can read others as well, but I may not be able to get you an accurate review because of that.
My only request of you is that you actually TRY and write the story or oneshot, and not just have an idea, think it's fairly good and write a plot and a few words in it. A good story should go into detail about the characters and their situation. Not deep detail, just enough so that you get a good idea of who they are and what they're going through.
Also, be patient. I do sometimes take a bit longer then right away to read stories. I've never forgotten about a story, and I certainly don't plan on starting now. Don't worry, I WILL review.
I Think that's all for right now. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
One of my biggest strengths is that I'm a perfectionist when it comes to grammar and writing. All of my stories and reviews go through a spell check before I post them because I like to make sure that the reader gets the full understanding of what I'm trying to get across. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I do have a bad habit of skimping through a story if it's not holding my interest. I will come back to it and finish reading it, but I just wanted to let you know. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I read Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse each about four times, so I think I have a good grasp on the characters. Life with Derek is also great, since I was a avid Dasey shipper for a good portion of my life lol. Also any book by Meg Cabot. I also love thrillers. Any kind of thriller, as long as it blows my mind. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I really prefer not to read slash. Sorry, but I've never been able to see to people of the same sex together like that. Other then that, you've got it. |
