Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I write Doctor Who and Torchwood stories, so I'd prefer to beta stories in that category, although I am open to House, Superman, Smallville and MacGyver stories. I'll look for things like spelling errors, grammer errors, Out Of Character writings and the like. I don't have many expectations- I don't care about the length. I am also into Gilmore Girls, and I would love to Beta a story for that. I would look for ways to make sentences more understandable. I really don't mind about chapter length, the number of errors in the chapter, and anything along those lines. As long as you are inspired to write, I'm inspired to beta! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I get high grades (mostly A's) in English, so my Beta-ing shouldn't be bad. I'm better at writing stories that have more speaking in it, so I'd be good at correcting them- and getting rid of the constant 'said's. But it's good to have details still, bring on the big paragraphs explaining things! I have great concentration, and I'll send you feedback whenever possible! |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm only fourteen, so I'm not the best Beta out their, but give me a shot at least. I'm still at school, so towards the end of each term I'll be a bit slower beta-ing due to exams and assignments, but I'll always contact you when this starts. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Anything rated between K and T, of any genre. I'm into adventure and romance mostly, and I prefer multi-chapter stories to one-shots. But I will take one-shots, don't you worry. I don't care if there are sequels or not, but the more work, the more fun. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Nothing rated M, and nothing really horrific. I don't even drink tea anyway. Maybe if you change this section to 'not my cup of coffee'. It would make me feel so much better. |
